He was saying the animal sounds tonight, and when I asked him what the pig said, he gave me this little gem. I have no idea where he learned this, but of course I had to grab the camera to document. =) Hope it cracks you up as much as it did me. (Meanwhile, I'm sure he's thinking, "mom, I just TOLD you what the pig says 2 seconds ago. And 2 seconds before that. Will you stop asking me already???")

What Does the Pig Say?
Apparently, we have a different breed of pigs in Arlington that use language that you may not be accustomed to hearing pigs use.

Sailing
So after I had so much fun at my sailing lessons last week, we decided to buy a sailing membership where we can sail all summer. Saturday was our first day and here are some of the videos. (Don't worry Grandma and Mim ... the kids are only without life jackets in the moments after we had gotten out of the water and had just put on our dry clothes ... the boat was not actually moving and we had close eyes on all of them). =)
Last Day of Kindergarten for Audrey
Last Friday was Audrey's last day of school.
Audrey put on the dress she wore for the 1st day of school so that we could compare. I could not get her to put her tennis shoes back on, though. She's told us all year that her tennis shoes make her feet hot, and after she learned that last Thursday was the last day of PE, she told us she was never wearing those tennis shoes again. =)
Can you tell a difference?
Also, some pretty bad videography of her coming out of the school for the last time as a kindergartener!

Busy week!
Audrey had her Kindergarten Musical (The Little Squeegy Bug) and her school talent show (she played "Heart and Soul" on the piano), Avery had her last gymnastics class with ribbon ceremony, and Kai turned two (the girls helped Kai "choose" pizza for his birthday supper). I have pix and video to post here (more will come shortly), but as I was starting to record Audrey's talent show performance, my camera battery died (so you can see her walking across the stage, but you'll just have to imagine the beauty of the playing). Big bummer! Also, our beautiful friend Aeriale visited! LOVE having her around! And Mim was here for a week. LOVE having her around too! =)
I also started sailing lessons last night, which was actually much more fun than I was anticipating. And when I got home and asked Iain a few questions about things I didn't fully understand, he immediately grabbed the girls' dry erase board and started drawing diagrams for me. =) I think those 15 minutes of instruction might have been more fun for him than the fun I had with 2 hours on the sailboat. =)
On Father's Day, we took the kids canoeing on the Potomac (first Iain and the girls while Kai napped in the car and then all 5 of us). They had a BLAST, mostly because we found a little sandy beach where they could build sandcastles and splash in the water. I have no pix of that, but just imagine squeals and smiles on the faces of our 3 beautiful children, and you'll have the perfect picture. =)

Best Snak Evre
Yesterday, I came out of my room from folding laundry and found all three kids sitting at the little table, having a snack. I later found this note on the couch...
