Avery & Kai on the Trampoline
This isn't exactly amazing video. Just decided to post some of our daily life here.
Paci-free =)
So we just decided to take away Kai's paci last Sunday. He's gone to sleep every time since (naps and bed) without it, so I'm officially calling us a paci-free house. Woo-hoo! =)
Guess who can ride a bike!
Iain texted me from the park to tell me that he was watching this awesomeness!
As background, Avery had been riding a bike with training wheels without much hurry to upgrade. That bike was stolen a couple of weeks ago (it was our own fault for leaving it next to a pile of stuff on our curb that we were giving away), but because it was gone, Avery went back to riding the glider bike (thanks Mim). She mastered that in a couple of days and then Iain just had her hop on the training-wheel-less bike yesterday and she took off!
Yay Aves!!
PS. If anyone would like to borrow the glider bike between now and when Kai needs it, you are welcome to it! =)

Avery's Manito Song
She learned this today and was very excited to sing it for us as soon as we picked her up. Iain, also a quick video for you from the kids. We miss you!

2 of 3 Are Off to School
Our two smart and kind beauties headed off to school this morning. We pray they have a great year and that they live lives of meaning.
Our girls rarely want to dress alike, but last week, they told me they wanted to wear the same thing for the first day of school and last night they told me they both wanted their hair in double braids. When we are out and about, we often get asked if they are twins, but I've never seen the wild resemblance until this morning. In some of the pictures, I can barely tell them apart. =)
Iain and I held it together pretty well. The saddest part was when we started leaving Avery's classroom and Kai yelled (in a sad voice), "Ray-Ree." And then we started leaving Audrey's classroom and Kai yelled (same sad voice), "Saucy!"
After we dropped the girls off, Iain went to work and Kai and I took a long (& slow) walk around the neighborhood. They are doing construction on our corner, so it was a great way for Kai to pass 30 minutes, just staring and pointing at the bulldozers and dumptrucks and "trackers" that are right outside our front door. He also likes to walk Avery's purple bike next to him (one of the hazards of having 2 older sisters).

Audrey Starts 1st Grade
I'm pretty sure the impossible has happened because it appears that Audrey is now old enough to be in 1st grade. Unlike Avery, I was able to catch Audrey still sleeping. =)
Avery's 1st Day of Kindergarten
I cannot believe this day is here! We love this little girl so much and I am going to miss playing with her every day.
I went upstairs at 6:05 this morning to take a picture of her still sleeping on her first day of kindergarten, but in typical Avery fashion, she was already on the next to bottom step as I rounded the corner.
Here are a few pix of our amazing Avery:
