Some of Kai's words

As I was watching this, I realized that many of the words I asked him to say here are the ones from the "Kai bowing" video, but I always blank on remembering which words he can say. =) My current fave is pizza, which he pronounces "pee-puh".

Avery Teaching Kai to Bow

(And, as an aside, I can upload videos again)!!

Things Kai has done in the last month that the girls never did............

1. Ate rat poison. Right out of the shed. I found him standing there, surrounded by a hundred blue pellets, and he happily pointed to two on his tongue. After a couple of seconds I figured out what it was, yelled to Iain (who was thankfully home). We think he only ate a couple. Poison control says not to worry. Even if he had eaten the entire package (maybe 150 pellets), he probably wouldn't have to go to the ER. Let me just assure all readers that if he had eaten 150, we would have taken him to the ER.

2. Gotten his bottom lip super-glued together at the Urgent Care clinic. I was at a meeting, Iain was home with the kids. After he couldn't reach me on my phone, he called one of the other people at the meeting to get in touch with me. I knew nothing good could be on the end of that phone call. Kai fell into the glass door of the entertainment center and cut his lip pretty badly. We thought it might need stitches. Nope. Just some super-glue.

3. Needed to get a bathroom door kicked in after he locked himself inside. Last week, we had finished up our weekly Bible study. I had just seen Kai, but then couldn't find him. Hear noises from the bathroom. He is indeed inside, having locked himself in with the sliding bolt that is unattached to the door handle. Window is locked so can't crawl in that way. Door handle is probably original from 1947, so can't remove it unless you can access both sides of the door. Anyone know of another way to get into the bathroom except knocking down the door? We don't. I'm sorry I didn't have the recorder going during the dramatic rescue. =) He was standing between the sink and the toilet. Very thankfully, Iain's perfect banging just knocked the bolt off and the door is still intact.
