Allison had a quick labor (she's not willing to use the word "easy"), and we were blessed to have her mom in town to be home with Audrey while the two of us were at the hospital. Audrey got to visit her little sister in the hospital on Friday morning ... she sat up on the bed with Allison and Avery, pointed at Avery, and then leaned over and kissed her without any prompting. What an awesome moment! And an incredible answer to prayer has been that (at least so far) Audrey is either extremely gentle and sweet with Avery (kissing her, patting her stomach, trying to share her milk) or she ignores her completely. She hasn't shown any signs of jealousy and we are so thankful. Of course, Avery is not yet 48 hours old, so we're braced for change. =)
Here are some pictures of the joys of our lives, Audrey and Avery.

Congratulations! I must admit I shed a little tear when viewing the photos of one of my favorite families. (Tell Al's mom she looks great!) I sure love you guys. And I'm so glad you had a girl, though I was concerned about what you were going to name her, because I still have clothes that I never sent to Audrey. Yes, I can make even the birth of a child all about me. :) I hope Mommy and Avery are doing well. Hugs and kisses to my darling little Audrey. I'll have to assess Avery's personality before I can send her any signs of affection. Kidding! Give the sweet darling a kiss for me, too. I guess having another girl means that Allison will be pregnant again the next time I see her. Have to keep trying for Iain, Jr. :) Love to all!

Hey Allison! Congratulations on beautiful baby Avery :o) I love your blog and how adorable was the video of Audrey saying "uh oh"!! Take care and get rest while you can! Oh...and of course we can't have Avery going through life wondering why her big sister has a piggy bank and not here...let me know what design you would like and it will be our gift to Avery :o) Love...Ashley
Yaay! Many congratulations! We're so happy for you both, and very happy that Iain didn't get to name her. :)
Hi guys, congratulations! All the best for Avery, a long, happy and healthy life - and lots of fun, but I guess that's a given, in this family ;o) Hey, and with that birthdate she can only ever be the most beautiful, intelligent and admired girl anyway.... I wish you a lot of joy with Avery and of course Audrey, lots of luck and many happy moments! Take care, and hope to hear from you soon, love from Switzerland again Nicole, Richard, Nick and Ronja
